| Frank A.C. Mirchel, D.D.S., formerly of Port Washington, died suddenly on January 10, 2004 in Vancouver, WA. He was 48 years old. Kelly, as he was known to everyone, was just flat out “a great person”. He was a devoted father, a wonderful son, a loving brother, a loyal husband, tremendous uncle and best friend. Kelly was “Mr. Port Washington”. Born in Port Washington, he attended the Port Schools, graduated Schreiber in 1973, received his Bachelors degree at Blackburn College, and went to graduate NYU Dental School in 1981. Following his graduation, he joined his father, Dr. Frank A. Mirchel in their private practice in Port Washington. In 1990, he left Port for Vancouver, WA, where he joined the Wendell Family Dental Center managing the Fishers Landing office. Kelly was a dedicated
family man. He cherished the times he spent with his kids, his siblings,
his parents and his friends. He was an active sport enthusiast, including
fishing, golf
and canoeing.
While growing up in Port, you could always find him near the water,
or
on his boat. Funeral services were held in Vancouver at St. Andrew Lutheran Church on January 16 and 17, 2004. A memorial service was held in Port Washington at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 12 Franklin Avenue, Port Washington, New York 11050 on February 7th, 2004 at 11 AM. In lieu of
flowers, the family is asking for donations to The Frank A.C. Mirchel
Memorial Fund and sent to William Gordon 117 Huntington Road, Port Washington,
NY 11050 – phone 516-767-1329. |
